I recently was checking with my OBGYN about the birth control methods. I can't ever remember to take my pill so I was looking for something else. They mentioned the patch and then asked how much I weighed because it don't work for people over 180 lbs. That shocked me....

Interesting. I'm sure we balance it out because it is harder to get pregnant when you are overweight. That is why the lap band used to be called the "fertility band." People that were losing the weight steadied their hormones and caused fertility. I myself had this surgery so I could get down to a healthy weight in order to have children. Here's to crossing our fingers th pills still work so that I don't pop up pregnant on the way down!
