Mexico surgery

I'm traveling to Mexico for surgery, my doctor just moved... so now I need to find a new one, anyone have a issue getting a doctor to follow you without them giving orgional approval?

My original family doctor wasn't on board, so I found another. I made a big deal out of the plan to do the surgery in Mexico, to make sure they were willing to do the follow up. My new doctor has been fabulous (and was important because I needed some minor care right after getting back...prescription tweaking).
