Hi everyone. I was sleeved this week and besides gas pain I am having horrible pain in one of my incision sites. I can't get up or move with out holding the spot in. It is so uncomfortable I feel like it is going to pop out. Has anyone else had an issue like this with one of their spots?

I would agree and say ask your doc, because that's never a bad idea. However, I had my surgery March 28 also. There is one incision, the one next to my belly button that is swollen and sore. The rest are fine. From what I heard that's where the stomach was taken out, so it's likely to give you more pain then the rest.

I had an awful lot of pain in one of the incision sites. It was the incision that they pulled part of the stomach out of, and probably the incision that they inserted all of the tools, etc. I also had quite a bit of bruising around that one very painful incision.

Day 4 post op for me was my worst day. I can remember thinking why did I do this, the pain was that bad. But then on day 5, I felt a little better... but that one incision still hurt awfully bad. I actually hurt for a couple of weeks and did take my pain Syrup everyday for that two weeks.

Thankfully, I did not have any gas pains at all. I have read that most people have to deal with that unfortunately.

If you are still in a lot of pain tomorrow, it is always best to give your doctor's office a call and let them know. It's always best to be on the safe side.

I hope you feel better soon.

Thank you all. It is the incision next to my belly button so maybe that is why. If it is still bad I'll call tomorrow.[emoji4]

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
