aslack10 7 Posted August 16, 2017 Hey I'm in the Jackson area and I am getting sleeved on Sept 11th. My process has been super easy. I went to river oaks in Flowood for my orientation. I have good insurance but am having to have surgery in Monroe. Let me know if I can help with anything or if you wanna chat about it. 1 Slee2b reacted to this
Slee2b 1 Posted August 17, 2017 That's great, I'm actually still in the process of completing my 6 months process, which will be up in Nov. I haven't meet with a surgeon yet, however I'm completing my process in flowood as well at merit health. Why are you having to go to Monroe? If I may ask?? And did you quiet smoking on your own, cold turkey?? No vaping???

aslack10 7 Posted August 17, 2017 My insurance is covering the surgery. I originally did the seminar at merit and that is when I found out insurance didn't cover it there. We go through BCBS of IL and the only way they cover it is by me going through a blue destination center. And there isn't one located in MS. To quit smoking a used Chantix. And it was a requirement by my surgeon. I had to do nicotine urine test for 3 months to prove I wasn't smoking. My doc has only had 3 complications out of 1000 surgeries and those 3 people were smokers. No cold turkey and no vaping. They were pretty adamant about no vaping. I think it's because there is still nicotine in he vape stuff. Because of my insurance I didn't have to pay for Chantic and my husband didn't have to pay for Zyban.
