Question....I am 2 weeks post-op and I am just feeling tired and week most of the day. Anybody else feel this way in the beginning?

I was the same way but it gets better. I'm almost 7 weeks out and I'm not tired or weak. You can try some sublingual B12 and see if it helps with the tiredness. As far as being weak you will get stronger. It's a big surgery and your body has to adjust to the new less amounts of food your eating.

Yes. You just had a major surgery. It takes a while for your body to adjust to this kind've trauma.

It's more to it than just surgery. Your body is burning more calories than you are able to take in.

I know this... but the surgery is the cause of that. You can't eat a ton of calories when your stomach is tiny. I gave a very vague answer.

I was VERY VERY tired and weak...... unfortunately I ended up having a GI bleed in my 2nd week out from surgery.
I think because of that I was my exhaustion was magnified.
I'm one month out today and feel a lot better - each day my energy is markedly increased !!!
Hang in there :)

Yes, wait until your energy peaks. I wasn't able to sleep for a month or more

Had the same problem, especially 2-4 weeks post op. Just massive fatigue. I would take a nap, wake briefly, and before I could decide whether or not I should get up, I'd fall back asleep again.

It will get better, both in frequency and severity.
