salasmarlene02@gmail.com 19 Posted March 31, 2017 I am about 2 weeks post op n the pain I get is incredible then slowly burps I have made a demonstration of where it hurts am I alone in this should I tell my doctor? I am on the puree phase what I was eating from this website cheese 1/2 cup grated Parmesan1 large Egg, beaten1 teaspoon Italian Seasoningsalt & pepper to taste1/2 cup Marinara Sauce 1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella CheeseMix ricotta cheese, parmesan, beaten egg, seasonings together and place in an ovenproof dish. Pour marinara on top and top with mozzarella cheese. Bake it in the oven @ 450 for about 20-25 minutes (best) or nuke it till hot and bubbly. I usually made it first in the oven and heated the leftovers in the microwave.
clc9 644 Posted March 31, 2017 It sounds like you are eating too fast and/or with bites that are too big. Tiny bites (like baby spoon sized bites), chew thoroughly, take 30-60 seconds between bites. 2 Breigh and 360lyMe reacted to this

Diva T 62 Posted March 31, 2017 I'm 10 weeks out and it is still pretty painful to eat and sometimes drink my Protein Shakes. But it is way better than it was at 2 weeks out. HANG IN THERE! It does get better. I call my sleeve Gurglely Gertie, Gi-Gi for short! Hand in there and I encourage you to call your doctor for advice and reassurance on Monday! It will put your mind at ease and help you feel not so overwhelmed and as if you're hurting yourself or doing something wrong. Good luck and God Bless! 1 ashes_202 reacted to this
clc9 644 Posted March 31, 2017 Use your phone to set a timer to time between bites. It helps a lot and 60 seconds is longer than it feels!
OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted April 1, 2017 When you reheat things in the microwave you remove some of the moisture. So leftovers become denser and harder to eat. I never had anything like this on soft foods I had soft baked fish. Call your Dr, you should not have pain when eating. 1 VSG4Mag reacted to this
Breigh 11 Posted April 1, 2017 Is it pain with every bite or after a few? It took me a while to realize that the pain meant I was full and should stop even though I had one or two bites left. It's definitely a learning process and a big change to have to "listen" to what your body is trying to tell you. 2 VSG4Mag and maggieO reacted to this

teacupnosaucer 445 Posted April 3, 2017 Try the Baritastic app, it has a built in "chew chew chew" timer that will help you slow down. I get that same pain when I get cocky and try to drink too fast. I chugged a half a glass of milk this am and had to sit down and clutch at my chest like I was having a heart attack.
BrightEyes77375 9 Posted April 4, 2017 Where do I find the app that Teacupnosaucer mentioned? I, too, experience the pain when I eat too fast (which is a life long habit that I'm really aware of now).
