Is this considered a slow loser?

Recommended Posts

I think that is something we all have asked ourselves in the beginning but it all depends on the weight you started with. 50 lbs no matter what you started with is an amazing weight loss for two months. Surgeons calculate the percentage of weight loss not just pounds. Having said all that once again losing 50 pounds in 2 months no matter what your starting weight is amazing congratulations

I'm 2 months out and have lost 32 pounds, I know that it has lots to do with how much weight you have to lose. My SW is 220 and I've been sticking to plan. Dr says I'm right on track.

If I dropped 60 in 2 months I'd be over the moon happy! Congratulations!

Amazing I started at 251 in October 198 today thats 6 months so you're doing great. Mine has been totally slow but knew it going in w hormonal issues. I was at a stall from march til now up and down about 5 lbs between 206 to 201. Hit 199 on my birthday the 13th then back up to 204. Til the other day finally down lower than my lowest. Hopefully my cal increase and exercise change is working

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
