JessT.andVSG 3 Posted March 29, 2017 Hey all, I was sleeved on Monday 3/27 and I'm starting to wonder if it was worth it. The gas pains are real, and I know they will soon go away but I can't seem to swallow my liquids without pain. Please tell me this will too pass quickly. 2 MelissaRose24 and rosefromcali reacted to this

There's nothing wrong with your calve muscles, and it'll help burn that gas off. 3 traeleo, JessT.andVSG and kookie504 reacted to this
Tufflaw 465 Posted March 29, 2017 I had regrets after surgery for a week or two, that went away as the pounds started melting off and the pain went away. Gas pain was totally gone in a few days, just keep walking around, it will go away. 1 JessT.andVSG reacted to this
arringtonc49 188 Posted March 29, 2017 It will pass.I never regretted after surgery. I really had a good experience. Just keep walking as much as you can. You have swelling right now.Once swelling goes down some it gets better. DON'T forget that Protein helps with healing! 1 JessT.andVSG reacted to this
KaiserKid 81 Posted March 29, 2017 Girl, buyers' remorse is so common. I promise this will pass. Focus on walking around, Fluid intake and Protein intake. That's the recipe for success. You need to move around to work the gas through your body. You can't really burp or fart it out since they used it to inflate your abdominal cavity to make the procedure easier. I was in tremendous pain for about 3-4 days but it passed very quickly. 3 JessT.andVSG, SlimStacey and cajun_queen reacted to this

bellabloom 2,467 Posted April 1, 2017 The point is to make it difficult for you to eat and drink. To lose weight. To break the codependent behavior you have with food. It will get better. Focus on other self soothing strategies. Take a hot bath, call a friend, read a book. 1 Deactivatedfatgal reacted to this
rosefromcali 12 Posted May 9, 2017 I'm with you there. I was sleeved 5/4 and I had to stay 3 days in the hospital for constant vomiting. When I got home on day 4 and I was still throwing up I must have cried my eyes out for 10 minutes straight on the toilet I was puking in. A lot of people have said regret seeps in during the first week and I found myself telling myself I wanted to go back in time to not do it. But gas is finally starting to exit my body. Chest pains are still very horrible but I'm down 13 pounds already and that tells me this is worth it. This procedure is definitely mentally challenging but you have a great support system here. Everyone is always so good at reminding us that this will pass. Keep your head up, you're doing great! 3 traeleo, mochamommy727 and Christieleigh85 reacted to this
sarahblu 179 Posted May 9, 2017 There will be a few stages of regret or questioning as you progress. New and wierd changes with your body and some hormonal imbalances could make you feel a bit crazy but as each day passes, you get used to it and learn to love yourself and the decision you made! Before you know it, you will be several months out and almost to your goal! Good luck on your journey!!Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app
