VooLivre2017 79 Posted March 28, 2017 Guys I don't know what to do but my Hair loss is really making me have a panic attack. Two weeks ago I had a huge pile in the tub. Now today...more loss. IN CHUNKS. I expected SOME loss but this is ALOT. I'm scared!! My hair has always been strong and thick.
Diana_in_Philly 1,426 Posted March 28, 2017 I'm 7 months out. It was really bad from month 3-6. It's almost stopped for me now. When was your surgery? My hair was always very thick and I have a lot of it, but it scared me to bits. Now, it's coming back in. Biotin. 2 VooLivre2017 and Mindy78 reacted to this

mylighthouse 782 Posted March 28, 2017 Sorry to hear that you are losing that much hair. I am just over 4 and a half months post-op and I have been wondering when I was going to start losing mine. Well, it has started. I have noticed long strands of hair coming out on my clothes, in the bath and shower, and of course really coming out when I brush my hair. I'm hoping this shedding stops, as yours did! I'm adding Biotin tablets starting tomorrow. Literally just came home from the pharmacy.
clc9 644 Posted March 28, 2017 Thick is good. That means the loss will be less noticeable on your head (still scary in the sink!). Try not to panic as stress won't improve the situation. Know that it will stop soon and those hairs will grown back. In the meantime, get all your Protein and take your Vitamins. That's all that's within your control. 1 goshesgaunt reacted to this

I couldn't help the tears though :-( I just have to keep telling myself, it will grow back. 3 Diana Prince, cynthiap05 and Please reacted to this

To see it in a brush instead of on our heads is traumatic. Just keep repeating to yourself, "it's temporary..." 1 VooLivre2017 reacted to this
MrsPenguin 103 Posted March 28, 2017 Me too. Just after 4 months. Thankfully it hasn't been too bad, but it is noticeable (to me). I know it's temporary, so I'm trying not to be too upset. Maybe I'll start taking the Biotin again. I took it for the first month and then stopped, thinking that was good enough.
carlychloe2 106 Posted March 28, 2017 Do you all think if you lose weight slow there is less Hair loss? ??
carrion 7 Posted March 28, 2017 I was just coming on to post about my Hair loss too. I have always had fine hair but a lot of it. I'm 10 weeks post of and it's coming out in sheets. No one really notices yet I guess but it's much flatter now. Can we take Biotin in addition to the Vitamin supplements we take (which already contain biotin) 1 Mindy78 reacted to this
twothegrynd 4 Posted March 28, 2017 Yes you can take Biotin. You also need to check your Protein. Make sure you are getting enough. I don't know how many grams your Dr has you getting in. I know take in a min of 60 gms a day .
Mindy78 372 Posted March 28, 2017 Do you all think if you lose weight slow there is less Hair loss? ??No. My weight loss has been slow but steady still lost more than I thought I would. Biotin should be started as soon as possible. Even before surgery. It doesn't stop or prevent hair loss it just helps it grow back faster my dr says. I took it before surgery but was on 1 5000 tab a day, not knowing there was a difference, now 6 months out I'm on 10,000 gel cap 2x a day. Results are astounding. Got my hair cut shorter and stacked in the back about 2 months ago. Before my hair was a bit dry but thick and strong I could only wash it every couple days. Now its growing quick and the texture is different. I have to wash it every day. Still shedding but not as much. 2 VooLivre2017 and Please reacted to this
