nicnaknut 0 Posted October 2, 2007 I don't know how common it is but, it sounds like it could be an allergy to something in your liquid diet or it could be from no sugar or caffeine if you have cut back on them or just plain stress because of the impending surgery... Have you talked to your Dr about it?
lovekatz1975 1 Posted October 3, 2007 I had a Migraine the day before surgery. I took 1 tylenol, but it didn't help at all. They were great at the hospital - they gave me percosets.
state_ur_worth 0 Posted October 3, 2007 Nancy33 I have had horrible headaches with the Optifast diet. I don't usually have a lot of caffeine so I assumed it was from low blood sugars. Good news was some of the Aus bandsters recommended I drink drink drink Water. It made the world of difference. I've been drinking 3-4 litres of Water a day (I put a squeeze of lemon juice in it for flavour) and I haven't had a headache since. Hope that helps, good luck for your surgery! faithmd 14 Posted October 3, 2007 What mean Dr. would say NO pain meds? Perhaps he meant "nothing" such as no ibuprofen/Motrin/Advil or aspirin or Aleve/naproxen. That I can understand, they all have blood thinning properties. But Tylenol/acetaminophen should be fine.
