caradawyn 0 Posted October 2, 2007 I have been working out 4-6 days a week since May. I do atleast 45 minutes of intense cardio plus 20-30 minutes of weights. My weight loss has recently stalled out. I have been at the same weight for 2 weeks. My calorie intake is still 800-1000 calories per day but the weight loss has stopped. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to start dropping pounds again? I'm starting to get frustrated.:heh:
stacy73 2 Posted October 2, 2007 They say your body gets used to a routine-so change up your workout routine a bit-maybe increase your cardio- or do cardio one day, weights the next day, etc. mix it up a bit and see if that makes a difference.
musicalmomma 1 Posted October 3, 2007 most people hit a plateau at around 50lbs loss. I JUST got over one! Keep up the good work...it will show on the scales again soon. You're doing great!!
rharriet62 0 Posted October 3, 2007 Yeah...that totally BITES! I've been there several times!!! My solution is that I usually change my food, my workout, or do something different for a few weeks. Something will happen, even if it's slow. And, if you change up some stuff, you won't be bored and frustrated! I am a very slow loser, and I've had to also just TRY to accept that. It's TOUGH because I workout hard, too!
mbanja 1 Posted October 4, 2007 Keep in mind to that you are building muscle which weighs more than fat!! I agree though you should change up a bit. When I had a personal trainer we never did cardio and lifting on the same day. We also rotated which area we worked. Example: Monday- arms and upper body Tuesday- cardio Wednesday-abs Thursday- cardio Friday-legs and butt. Cardio was an hour long all the others were 30-45mins.
