mnorman23 1 Posted March 25, 2017 I'm 5 months out from a full traditional ds. And I have lost 46 lbs. I feel like that is a slow number but I'm proud of the number all the same. I watch my carbs and try not to overdo and try to have healthier choices everyday but here I am. I have lost of total of 6 pounds in two months... I'm going to call that a stall - a long stall and believe that we are going to kick back into gear at some point here quickly. I still have 50-60 lbs to loose so maintaining at this weight is not a option yet! I just saw my Dr and he didn't seem worried at all and said I was trucking along fine. He was very happy and told me to see him in another 3 months. I don't mind the slow course as long as I'm still moving along...towards my goal! I know that everyone losses at a different rate and I was a lower bmi to start with so I am hoping that is the case but just wanted some support. 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this
Postop 411 Posted March 25, 2017 (edited) As a lightweight it sounds as if you're right on target. I remember I lost 19lbs. in my first month. That was pretty much the least of any DSer I knew. But I was like you. I knew I'd just keep chugging along. And I did. And I have. Almost 12 years later. jessgnc 167 Posted March 27, 2017 I'm not a doctor, but I remember my nutritionist talking about this. How are you doing on your Proteins? She has said multiple times that people who aren't losing as fast as they think they should, or are stalling are generally not having enough Protein in their diet. 1 mnorman23 reacted to this
mnorman23 1 Posted March 27, 2017 I thought I was doing pretty good on Proteins but I think I could do better. Maybe that's what the hang up is. Thank you! Any advice helps!
