What do you think of the ingredients? It's low fat, low carbs, & low calories - so do you think it'll be okay to eat? If you tired it, does it taste good to you?

I personally have never had it, but I saw many post it on a closed FB group I belong to. Just keep your portion in check and you should be fine. Enjoy it!

I had it pre-op and I enjoyed it. I liked the lemon cake flavor myself. :)

Just tried it today and chocolate is quite delicious :) I look forward to trying other flavors. But yes, we still have to watch our portions, but I think it is a doable option. I was doing frozen bananas in the food processor, but pretty sure this has a lot less carbs. Less natural, but less carbs.

Thank you all. I think it's too early for me to try it yet since I'm only 6-weeks post op. But summer's around the corner & I do need my (healthy) ice cream fix when that time comes.

I love Halo Top! The salted caramel, red velvet, and mint chip are my favorites. My kids love it too, it's hard to keep it on hand once they find out it's in the house. Just watch the portion and enjoy it, it's a great treat. And I don't see why you couldn't have it 6 weeks out, it's a soft food.

True. It is soft foods. I'm just so paranoid in gaining weight this early on when I'm losing rapidly. I've lost 37 lbs so far (I haven't updated my signature yet) & in my mind I feel once I'm at goal or close to goal I can start to slowly re-introduce some of the things I loved to eat like (halo) ice cream (in moderation of course).

I think it's a great practice to cut crap out of a healthier diet and just eat that sort of thing once in a rare while and in small, very small portion.

I left the Facebook group because all anyone did was post about the crap they wanted to eat rather than truly healthy recipes. It got old and it was totally obvious how so many had eating disorders they didn't want to address.

So sad to me and I'm far from perfect but try at least.

I've tried it before surgery. As usual some flavors were better than others. I did not enjoy the chocolate flavor.

As listed on the carton it is much better if you let it sit out a few minutes before eating, then it has more of a true ice cream texture!

It is very good, I enjoyed the caramel flavor. However, I do not recommend eating this within the first few months after surgery. Focus should be on settling into your new eating habits...a spoonful here or there is not going to hurt, but don't let it become a habit.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
