DaleCruse 756 Posted March 24, 2017 Of course. I've never met a weight-loss surgery patient who didn't.
BeanjustSleeved 9 Posted March 25, 2017 I nvr knew what heartburn felt like before surgery. I acquired it after surgery and took protonix the first 6 months. The more I healed the less harsh it was. I drink a bottle of Water 25-30 minutes before I eat. And another 30 mins to an hr after. this DEFINITELY works for me to steer clear of heartburn! Try it out!!! Dfw74 2 Posted March 28, 2017 Omgosh, the heartburn is the worst part thus far. Sleeved 12-19-16 and it was just a few hours after surgery that it started. I am in the process of trying different meds to find what works for me. It is so bad it wakes me up in the middle of the night. Ugh
Mocha2871 182 Posted March 29, 2017 Well I'm 3 yrs and 6 months out and I take 40 mg Omeprazole twice a day. I just had a MRI done and I am going to be taking this for awhile. No matter what I do I have it. I wake up with it even if I just drink Water. Have had it every since the surgery. The pills help but it can be a pain and does keep me up at night without the pills. 1 Dfw74 reacted to this

MarinaGirl 609 Posted May 12, 2017 Unfortunately, acid reflux is a common complication of VSG.
