I have done very well and am not complaining but I have gained 15 pounds over the last couple years and I am trying to find a way to get myself mentally back on track. I know what I need to do but for some reason I always seem to defeat my own efforts. I am finding my mindset back to some of my old ways of thinking. Mine just keeps telling me that he didn't expect me to lose a lot more than I did and once I leveled out that was normal, which was okay but now that I have gained a little more I know it is mostly because I let myself get lazy. This is really due to not following the meal plan, and eating carbs. You can talk to your surgeon, but this is pretty normal if you don't maintain the eating habits you first started with. I highly recommend cutting carbs, sweets, and other addictive foods..as well as adding exercise. I am recently going back to the basics, and I can tell you, its not easy. My biggest issue is head hunger...which a lot of us will battle for the rest of our lives. I exercise nonstop, but its what I am eating that is hurting me. One thing is for sure, we all have the tool to be succesfful, you just have to go back to the habits that you learned at the very beginning to make it work in your favor. bellabloom 2,467 Posted March 31, 2017 I have decided to make peace with food. I don't plan on being on a diet the rest of my life. I highly recommend the book intuitive eating on Amazon. There is a ton of information on the web about it as well. It's a way to maintain your weight at a healthy place and not have to spend your life dieting and avoiding the food you love.
