Starting Pre-Op High Protein Liquid Diet Tomorrow

Hello Bariatric Pals,

After a year of back and forth, I was sick enough to get the Gastric ByPass approval from the insurance. I start my Pre-Op High Protien liquid diet tomorrow with surgery scheduled on 03/30/2017. I am very nervous about how this liquid died week will be. Please share your stories and insight when you went through this. Like everybody on this board, looking for positive vibes. I am also nervous about the surgery, is that normal? Is it normal to feel that I may not walk out of the hospital?

You'll be fine on your liquid diet. I was on mine for 21 days. Nerves are normal... you're having a major surgery. But you will walk out of the hospital.
