Generally it is 10lbs. Definitely ask your surgeon.

I was told nothing over 10 pounds the first 2 weeks post op. My daughter will be 10 months old when i have surgery next month and is 20+ pounds, i dont know how im going to do it[emoji30][emoji24]

When I got home on day 4, my 35 lb 4 year old ran over to give me a big hug and I picked him up. After a long awaited cuddle, it dawned on me "I probably shouldn't have done that" oops! No harm done, but I haven't done it again

I doubt they would do anything unless you were showing signs of extreme pain. Think my limit was around 25-30 lbs the first few weeks. Count it as a lesson learned and avoid doing it as much as possible. Don't get caught up over thinking it because once you focus on that it may seem worse than it really is. Of course if the pain does get worse contact your doctor and let them know and they'll advise what to do.
