sjac 19 Posted March 21, 2017 I am 11 wk post op and can eat just about anything at this time but i seem to be having an issue with steamed carrots or broccoli. I cook them till very soft but I still feel almost nauseous. is this normal? I have had other vegetables in Soups with no problem
Newme17 3,444 Posted March 21, 2017 I can't help but I've got a question, can you eat them raw or have to be cooked?
_Kate_ 2,224 Posted March 21, 2017 It might just be changes in taste. I loved tea before surgery, I was a complete tea-oholic but after even the smell put me off. I would have to walk away if someone had tea, it turned my stomach.
sjac 19 Posted March 22, 2017 i cook them till they are soft and chew them well, I am a little afraid to eat them raw. I enjoy the taste I just get nauseous for a few minutes after I eat them
Airstream88 361 Posted March 22, 2017 Try them again in a month or two. Tastes and ability to tolerate foods changes as the stomach heals. 11 weeks is still pretty early in the process.
