Quitting Smoking 10 months post-op.

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

So, as dumb as it is, I never quit smoking Pre-Op, Post-Op or anywhere in between. My Dr. required a nicotine test for the Sleeve but not the Lap-Band, so I guess I didn't feel the need to quit.

I know, I know.

So I am 10 months post-op, 100 lbs down, and I decided to quit about 3 days ago. I have been using Patches. I know increased "appetite" is a common when quitting, and I realize at 198lbs, that me smoking poses more of a health risk to myself than my weight currently does, but I still would like to continue to lose weight, but all I can seem to do is cram food in my mouth all day long.

Any tips to keep my mind busy during this time? Or any low-calorie Snacks that are band friendly? Any tips at all would be great!

Thanks!
