Ok - I did 30 minutes elliptical tonight...

but at work today I climbed up and down 8 flights of stairs - TWICE! I'm soooo counting that as exercise! What do you all think... I'm slow... so maybe call it... 10 minutes total?? That sounds fair! (I won't count the minutes I stood on the landing betweeen flights trying to catch my breath!!!!)

30 minutes walking/jogging in place in my bedroom while watching Greys Anatomy... I was too lazy to actually GO to the gym! But at least I moved and got to my 10,000 steps (according to BodyBugg!)

New total: 690 minutes... only 110 left! Not only do I think I'll MAKE my goal.. I think I'll surpass it!!!!!

If you guys have a challenge for November, I would love to join in. I have been doing my own for the past three months, but think it would be fun to join in.

I do notice that If I set a goal, and write it down and keep track each day, that I am much more eager to keep up with the exercising. In fact some days, I make myself get busy just so I can subtract those minutes from the monthly total.

You guys are all doing so good. A real inspiration.

Hey joeygirl! I'm more than sure we will do a NOvember one! Lol. Some of us *ME* need the accountability!

OK all. I just did 30 minutes walking in place in front of my TV, using 2 pound softweights in my hands while I did different moves with my arms. Yay! Thanks to my bodybugg (they should pay me for advertising!) I know I have now burned all my calories for the day and almost have my 10,000 steps in for the day. ;)

45 minute chest workout

30 minutes on stationary bike

75 total for the day. I got my bodybugg and I am fixing to set it up. I am sooo excited. Has anyone tried the free samples they sent? And if so, are they good?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
