geets 44 Posted July 4, 2017 I have bipolar and had my surgery April 26th. I had a bout of depression right after but I really believe it was true sadness and anxiety rather than a mood swing. I haven't had any absorption issues. I switched to Wellbutrin HR which can be crushed (it tastes HORRIBLE, just a warning [emoji1]). Overall I feel so much better. I am taking a lot less of my anxiety med and I am generally very stable. Of course period hormones are still an issue, but it isn't as bad. I also actually get those mythical endorphins from exercising that everyone used to talk about!!Juni I'm scared and expecting the depression that I'm going to feel. It's a huge step having the surgery and the experience of being post op the 1st 2 weeks. I'll be messaging you definitely, you'll have to give me tips on coping mechanisms. I'm having Bariatric bypass 11th July. Gita xx

I'm hoping to have a sleeve in October and I also have bp2 plus anxiety and psychosis. It took a long time to get "stable" and I am a little worried about my meds but glad to know some peoples meds still do OK. Good for you and thanks for posting.Sent from my NS-P10A7100 using BariatricPal mobile app 1 mylighthouse reacted to this
