Hey you guys I'm only 2 weeks out and I don't poop that much (Lol)!!! I know it should get better when I'm able to consume more, but I'm curious how often are you guys pooping? After every meal ? Twice a day ... or like in one week how often do you think your pooping ? I know it's a gross question but I'm just curious.

Hi, Im only 8 days post op, I asked same question to Dr. they told me if my regular was 1 or 2 times a day, my new normal will be once every 2-3 days. Personally, I go every 3 days... ask your Doctor, mine said I can drink low sugar prune juice after week 2.

I go about once every 3 days. If I haven't gone by the third day, I take 1/2 dose of Milk of Magnesia and that always does the trick.

I must be an outlier. For the first three weeks I went 3-4 times a day, but now it's only 1-2 a day. 😉

I go once a day. In the beginning I was having issues with Constipation but now I'm taking Miralax and metamucil. Constipation is the worst [emoji58]

I'm 2 months out and I used to go daily, but my new normal is about 2 to 3 times a week. I am not constipated though. This is just my new "normal" I guess?

Right after surgery, I went maybe twice a week. Now I usually go twice a day! At least once for sure. Myralax helped me in the beginning!

I will be 6 days out tomorrow from my surgery and my biggest problem is gas. EVERYTHING I eat puts tons of gas on my stomach causing my stomach to constantly rumble and hurt and even makes me feel hungry too. I know crazy huh? I've been living off of gas medicine since my surgery and hoping that once my stomach heals and adjust that this will go away.

I'm on day 12 after surgery... THE GAS DOES GO AWAY lol ... you'll notice when it's completely gone and you'll be a very happy camper keep your head up it can ONLY get better!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
