If you use an Apple watch, how helpful is it for tracking the amount of calories burned throughout your day? Can it calculate calories burned while lifting weights? Do you use it to track your heart rate during workouts?

I have about 25 lbs left to lose and I am stuck. I calculated my BMR and if I can figure out accurately the calories I burn at work and at the gym I think I will have a better handle on how many calories I should be eating to see the scale move.

My tracker at the bottom says 15 lbs to go but that was my Dr.'s goal. I am only 5'3" and I would need to get to 140 to have a normal (not overweight) BMI.

I really like mine. Don't know about the calories from weight lifting. But i like its method of tracking calories better than steps in a day. You can still get that info if you really want it. But the part I like is having it sync with myfitnesspal and being able to see my macros right from the watch. I also use a program called "round" to notify me of when I need to take my pills and Vitamins.

Thanks for the response. I think the reminder to take Vitamins would be helpful too!

I love my Apple watch. If for nothing else it's intoxicating to see how many steps I've taken at the end of the day. My highest has been 22,537. My daily average is about 16,000. Didn't think to set reminders to take my Vitamins. I'm so doing that. Good suggestion.

Thank you! I have purchased one since I posted this. I love it! I set it to remind me to take the calciums also! :)
