I can feel my sleeve

Recommended Posts

I am 3 days postop and I occasionally can feel my sleeve when something is passing through. It's a weird feeling yet very painful at the same time. Had anyone experienced this?

Yes, it turned out it was esophageal spasms. I had it every time i ate or drank. It lasted a few months and we're crazy painfull. It did eventually go away tho.

I'm almost 2 years post op and I can still feel my sleeve. I can point on my body and tell you exactly where it is. Depending on what I eat and drink I can feel every inch of it.

The only time it is painful is if I overeat or eat too fast. Your body is telling you to slow down or ease up.

Early on right after surgery I could not tolerate cold liquids. That eased up over the first month. Cold was ok but ice cold or too cold was like daggers.

Interesting I feel it even when I am not swallowing too. My follow up is next week, I will be addressing this question to my surgeon as well.

Thanks for the feedback I'm taking notes, tracking how often it happens and how long after I drink something.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
