Jinyinjin 34 Posted March 17, 2017 So I am nine days post-op and I have to take my Vitamins. Does anyone know how long until I can take a pill Vitamin? These are just terrible and make me nauseous. Am I doing it wrong by adding it to 6 oz of Water?
OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted March 17, 2017 If you can swallow pills you can take pills. Those chewable vitamins are digusting 1 Jinyinjin reacted to this

vsg_queendiet 73 Posted March 18, 2017 If it's smaller than a m&m it's okay too swallow. But swallowing pills is hard and fulls you up fast. They make vitamelts that melt on you tongue that taste amazing at Walmart. I'm 9 months post op and never had any trouble with my blood work.HW: 420 (January 2016)CW: 267 (March 2017)Instagram: vsg_queendiet 3 Deactivatedfatgal, Jinyinjin and queendeborahbee reacted to this

Thanks for the information, I will definitely purchase those. I have issues now swallowing Vitamins, they always feel stuck and give me indigestion.
Christina.Rose 287 Posted March 19, 2017 My surgeon said not to worry about any Vitamins the first 2 weeks, just hydration and Protein Shakes. I was told to wait a minimum of a month for any hard tablet pills and to crush them first. 1 queendeborahbee reacted to this

clc9 644 Posted March 19, 2017 Going into my 7th week after surgery and I went to taking my capsule multivitamin! Chewable's are disgusting! I still take the chewable Calcium but will replace that stat as well. The chewables are the absolute worst. It takes all the willpower I can muster to take them and not gag. I can't wait until I'm cleared for regular vitamins!
ssbthodge 92 Posted March 20, 2017 1 week after surgery I was able to swallow the pills but I cut them in half. But about 2 weeks after that I started taking it whole
VSG_PurpleButterfly 37 Posted March 20, 2017 I can't take Vitamins in pill form, even cut in smaller pieces. I now use Bariatric Pal Vitamin patch. I wear one at night while sleeping
