Watermelon has a lot of carbs. I would stay away from it, but that's just me.

Absolutely not on my plan. It has no protien value. It's high in carbs. Your goals are protien and 64oz of fluids.

I did find this online though. Of course, I am not a dietitian, so check there first.

Nope.

I have eaten 3 strawberries in the past 20 months. I think the number might actually be 2.

If you are hungry drink Water.

That was the #1 fruit I was told to avoid for the first year. In my paperwork it was noted as causing dumping syndrome because of the sugar content. The texture and consistancy isn't an issue, but the sugar goes right through you. If you decide to try it, don't venture too far away from your bathroom.

Why can we not do fruits even in the long run? Just curious because I hadn't heard that.

Hahahaha, I literally for a split second had to think "When did they start putting crabs in watermelon"?

If you are hungry you eat food. Your body is pretty well designed to know what it needs. Unless it's the dreaded "head games" of head hunger where we just want to eat.
I never drink if I'm hungry ...

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
