A interesting question popped into my head the other day as I was watching my favorite sci-fi show Babylon 5.

What would happen if you put a telepath on LSD?

Speaking of LSD, have you ever heard of Ergot? It's a type of fungus that parasitizes grain. It's chemically identical to LSD and can cause halucinations, convulsions, everything that LSD does. They think it's what might have caused the Salem Witch Trials.

I always get laughs out of my students when I tell them about Ergot. It's about the only thing that can make the fungi lab interesting.
