So I've been working really hard to get all my Water in, and most days I meet my goal, but....drinking so much water means I have to pee ALL THE TIME.

Pre-surgery I drank a lot of liquid (not a ton of water though, mostly coffee, tea, or coke with some water mixed in) and it was never like this. Vets, does this get better as your body gets used to the water intake?

You will get used to it. It's very hard to imagine hitting your goals at your stage when the tummy is still healing but it will become much easier. I promise! Just keep at it. My surgeon told me the first 12 weeks were about trying to reach our goals, not about actually meeting them in most cases (some people have no problems getting in all their Protein and liquids but most of us aren't that lucky). It's by 12 weeks that we should be able to hit the protein and Water goals my Doc said.

I'm not worried about meeting my goals, I'm able to do that more often than not, I'm worried (well not worried, but exasperated) about how often I have to go to the restroom these days after drinking so much Water.

Ah, my bad. Misread it the first time.

I've been opposite since surgery. I used to pee all the damned time but I was drinking a ton of Water, coffee and diet soda on a daily basis. I'm probably getting in 80+ oz of water on a daily basis now but my bathroom trips have been reduced significantly. My overall intake in water may be down but I think a big part of it was caffeine playing a part in the frequency of trips.

I thought I was crazy. Pre op I drank a lot of water probably like 120oz or so. I used to pee all the time. I'm currently 10 days post op and already am getting like 90 oz or so and I feel like I'm barely going to the bathroom.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
