jkmen5 9 Posted March 16, 2017 I'm terrified, happy, nervous, scared, excited... I broke down today at work when I was leaving and everyone was telling me goodbye. I'm going to be off of work for a month. I had been doing just fine and suddenly I got hit with waterworks! I'm not a big crier, although I am emotional, so it hit me off guard. I have been really quiet since I've been home. I really have to get my stuff packed and I'm just drained mentally. I don't consider myself an anxious person. But man is it hitting me strong now! 1 Syaniya reacted to this
ssbthodge 92 Posted March 16, 2017 First of all congratulations on making it to surgery day. 2nd it is completely normal to have all of those different emotions at the same time. I was sleeved 1/31/17 and I was happy, nervous, excited, anxious and scared also. This support group has helped me get through each of those emotions. If I had to do it over again I would. Good luck tomorrow! You got this!!

JustaGirl45 6 Posted March 16, 2017 I was a wreck the night before surg-I dont think I slept at all.. I was so worried about pain and being confined to my bed but it hasnt been all that bad--its been two weeks and i havent taken meds in a week and a half. Its really not as bad as you think it is. 2 CurvyCakes and jkmen5 reacted to this

jkmen5 9 Posted March 18, 2017 Thanks everyone! It is a difficult road after surgery. I have had so much gas pain. They finally gave me gas-x, which has helped tremendously! Trying to do my incentive spirometer has been another challenge! Hopefully going home today! 1 mrs_ross26 reacted to this
arringtonc49 188 Posted March 18, 2017 Walking helps a lot for gas pains. I walked so much around hospital that I really did not need pain medication. I took Tylenol The first night. You will do ok.This is a journey. A good journey [emoji3]! 1 CurvyCakes reacted to this
