sja 38 Posted March 15, 2017 ***No need to scold me for smoking.*** I already know it's bad and pathetic - "why would I start again?" I quit for my surgery and like any addiction, there's a reason it's called "addiction." I started back up about 3 months post-op. I need and want to quit again but am trying the Nicorette Lozenges this go around. It's making my stomach hurt and I feel sooo sick. I'm on the lowest possible dose and not even taking them as frequently as suggested. Anyone else experience this or have any info on if sleeve patients should even use them? I KNOW we aren't supposed to be smoking ... That's a given, but I find it odd my stomach doesn't hurt with a cigarette but does with the lozenges.
Pj47 3 Posted March 16, 2017 Try an electronic cigarette you can get different levels of nicotine. That is how I quit smoking going on three years. If I get an overwhelming urge I can take a drag of my electronic cigarette with zero nicotine. (This would happen if I was having a few drinks with friends. Hasn't happened since surgery [emoji1303])Check out haloecigs.com depending on what you smoke, they have different flavors. I was a Marlboro light smoker and the tribeca is what helped me quit.
