Yep. Militantly. I keep my carbs at or below 20 per day and have since I started my six month pre-op diet program March 21, 2016.

I do as well. I'm 8 months out and follow my plan which allows for 30 carbs 6 days a week and 50 one day a week.

No, and my team doesn't require it.

Do you feel you get enough fruits and veggies in? They are my source of energy!

I eat 1 oz of green vegetables (usually green beans) three times a day. I don't eat fruit at all because of the sugar and carbs. I had fatigue issues for the first 2 months post-op, but at almost 6 months post-op, I don't have energy issues anymore.

Yes.

I don't eat fruit, it is just sugar even it comes with Fiber.

I eat a bag of baby spinach almost every day.

I keep my net carbs under 25.

I am over 20 months post op.

Exercise is just walking. I do weights and yoga every now and then

I eat Keto. More fat than Protein, very few carbs. Usually I just have steak or a pork chop. And I have a big salad in thevery afternoon. I keep it very simple and very clean. I also drink coffee with heavy cream or half and half most of the day.

I moderately count carbs. My team said to keep my carbs below 60 a day. I tend to keep them between 20-30 most days but I don't beat myself up for days when they are higher as long as I'm below 60.

I focus on Protein and a wide range of veggies, adding whole grains to 2-3 of my meals (muesli in the morning, a slice of Daves bread or a couple of crackers or a brown rice cake. Lots of chicken and fish. More veggies than grain, and no sweeteners.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
