Here is a link for a Protein Powder which is "hydrolyzed" which should help. Check it out and maybe this one will do the trick.

I am 1 & 1/2 weeks post-sleeve. I also have problems with gas and bloating after drinking the Protein Shake. I have several different brands/flavors, but even one that is soy, lactose, gluton-free causes gas and bloating. I see where a few people have posted using GasX. How far out did you start using it?

Are you mixing lactose free milk in with it? My nutritionist suggested skim or fairlife milk but im too lactose intolerant. Even using soy milk im still slightly affected because of the whey Protein in my powder but not nearly as bad as using full dairy. I can still have 2 shakes a day.
My soy milk was frozen so i used the regular milk we had and cut it with Water. My stomach was trashed for 2 days. And i only had about 8oz of milk. I was always lactose intolerant but i think its worse now. I would love to be able to eat yogurt again, Greek yogurt was my fave and i just discovered the Oikos 000 and they are so good. But they Wreaked absolute HAVOC on my tummy. So dairy is VERY limited for me.

Oh PS, The thicker the shake is the harder a time i have. Even 5.5 months out. Even now i will cut my soy milk with Water to thin it out and make it more manageable. Smaller sips and thinner shakes might help.

Ok thank you and I have Premier Protein I bought a lean shake lactose and gluten free and gas was still pretty bad

You have to walk! You can walk from room to room in your house or in your yard! But just move your body to release that gas! I would walk around in my house every other commercial that would come on TV until I was able to walk to my mail box then I was able to walk 4 houses down in my subdivision but please move your body [emoji3]

Probably the milk. They make chewable tablets called lactose. Take one of them before drink it. It should help.

It's very common not to handle milk after surgery.

I am 3 days post - op and noticing everytime I drank my Protein shake I start to develop real bad gas.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

I was going through that thought I was extremely lactose intolerant all of a sudden but it got better. I am 9 days post op and it is not as bad now

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
