Mallory95 34 Posted March 14, 2017 I start my 2 week liquid diet tomorrow. Any advice? I'm pretty nervous.
leighabelle 9 Posted March 14, 2017 Personally, I didn't find it to be as bad as I thought it would be. The first few days were hard for me, not necessarily because I was hungry but because I missed the sensation of chewing. I'm on my last day of pre-op diet (surgery tomorrow) and I can proudly say I didn't cheat once! I just kept reminding myself that the pre-op diet was for my own good for surgery. I also relied heavily on chicken broth because I was getting really tired of the sweet Protein Shakes. Also, sugar free popsicles and Jello are great options too! Good luck!! 1 Mallory95 reacted to this

GMen88 70 Posted March 14, 2017 Went to my pre-op class on Thursday and was SO happy to know that I could have popsicles and Jello because I'm almost certain I'm going to be tired of Protein shakes! I start my liquid diet on Thursday. 4 shakes and 2 Protein Bars a day. Can have broth, popsicles, and jello also, along with Water, Crystal light, G2, etc. And one small banana a day to keep potassium up. Trying to syke myself up to think it won't be as bad as it seems. Good luck, OP. We've got this [emoji4][emoji4] 1 Mallory95 reacted to this

VSG4Mag 106 Posted March 14, 2017 I'm in the midst of mine. I was told Protein pudding too. Make sugar free pudding with a scoop of unflavored Protein Powder. I'm allowed 1 hard boiled egg, 1 protein yogurt, 1/2 cup protein pudding and 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese I just made broth today (going to freeze some for post op) but I had some and it's a nice change
