When does this stop. I'm eight weeks out and still get hungry. But so get full fast. Yesterday I had 3 Mcdonald chicken nuggets and today feel like sh^*. Could it be just the old habits sneaking back? Argg. Down 30 lbs.

Thanks Nancy

Why are you eating chicken McNuggets from McDonalds? The bad far outweighs any positive Protein in those. The sleeve is an amazing tool, but you are going to have to work with it for it to be effective long term. And most of that work comes in the form of changing your relationship with food, sticking to your plan, and eating within defined parameters. If you stay away from the empty calories of items like Chicken McNuggets and stick to lean protein and non-starchy vegetables you'd probably feel a lot better.

Totally agree with blizare09. I'm not sure how they get away with calling it chicken !

You need to make good food choices. McDonald's is not a good food choice. chicken nuggets are terrible for you.

Good Proteins first and then non-starchy veggies.

Things like REAL chicken, fish, etc and none of it breaded or fried.

String cheese, cottage cheese, low carb low sugar yogurt, eggs. If you are hungry for a snack you can even indulge in a little bit of hummus or roasted almonds... yum.

Or do a google search for chicken crust pizza and make yourself a delicious, healthy, low carb, Protein packed pizza.

You have to change the way you are eating, the sleeve is only a tool. How we use it is up to us.

Also, remember, if you are getting hungry often.... carbs bring on hunger. Protein helps fill you up. Try to keep that protein between 90-100 grams a day and keep those carbs under 40 grams a day. If you aren't already using it, use myfitnesspal to keep track of your carbs, protein and calories.

Might be an idea to keep a few Snacks with you at all times so you aren't tempted to have poor food choices so early on. I have found recently, that a lot of general stores sell healthy high Protein food. So considering this is England and we are 10 years behind the USA, you should be able to easily buy good healthy snacks.

Also are you keeping up your fluids? If you have a good amount of Water and you still feel hungry, then maybe you do need to eat. Just not chicken nuggets lol. ;-)

Definitely what everyone else said, but if you MUST get something at a fast food, go for the grilled nuggets at ChickFilA less the sauce.

I'm seven days. And I'm always hungry. and I can only eat Jell-o, cream of chicken and some Protein Shakes. Not much at all not getting much liquid down. But I feel like I can eat a whole Chinese buffet with a lot of seafood. When I sit down to eat I can't even eat I have in my hand

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
