Take it easy on yourself and listen to what your body is telling you, as far as exertion. You will be in the healing phase for some time. That being said, I would think that any form of walking would do. I was back at the gym myself about a week post op (treadmill and bike only). If unsure, give your surgeons office a call and ask them.

I wouldn't do the treadmill, I'm
One month out and just got on the treadmill. I did laps around the living room and kitchen with my binder on(I had a drain) the first week, week two I walked outside. Pace yourself ! Slow
And steady wins the race

Omg it's way to early I'm sure your surgeon meant around the house. You just had surgery becareful, don't try to rush. Let your body heal and rest up. Walk when you are ready

Of course you can walk on the treadmill. Just keep it slow and flat for a while. You may not get very far so close to surgery because it's tiring, but walking is good. I have a big dog, so no walking break for me. Day 3 we were walking a mile outside. A few weeks in and it's a few miles. Listen to your body and you'll be fine.

I went and bought a treadmill and a bicycle for my gym at home. My surgeon told me to wait until I see him. Before I use my equipment we have to be cleared for equipment before we use it. Consult your surgeon first. The last thing you want is a leakage. And trust me I know at least four people have had that and ended up in the hospital for weeks. They had to have it redone ,the pouch. I'm in South Florida I had my done at JFK Medical Center. It's very popular and there is always a full office a lot of people is having this done. I had a gastric sleeve surgery

My doctor wanted me to start walking for exercise at my 2 week appointment. I started walking outside and moved onto the treadmill by 4 weeks. I now try and walk at least 2 miles a day but sometimes life gets in the way.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
