Jacket52204 35 Posted March 12, 2017 I was sleeved in Mexico so have had less direction and follow up care than a lot of you. How was your goal weight determined? Did you pick a number, your doctor pick a number? Was it determined by healthy bmi? I ask because I will need to have abdominal apron surgery but can't have it until I've reached and maintained my goal weight for 6 months.
MsShortyDee 160 Posted March 13, 2017 My doctor set my weight goal goal. It's a good weight for me. I'll be overweight. Our goal is 150. That is what I weighed when I graduated high school.
Vinasu 621 Posted March 13, 2017 My Dr. sets goal weight as loss of 60% of excess weight. She says that's where most people end up. I met her goal at 4 months. My personal goal is 12 pounds below the upper limit of normal weight. I'll get there by summer. 1 MsShortyDee reacted to this
Dashofpixiedust8 1,469 Posted March 15, 2017 My doctor did not set a goal weight for me. I set a goal but they did not encourage a goal weight, just a healthier life style and abilities. 1 MsShortyDee reacted to this
CocoNina 210 Posted March 17, 2017 My doctor didn't give me a specific number. He just told me to aim for a healthy BMI. I found a chart with my sex, age, height, & weight so the info in my signature is my goal. To me it looks high, but once I reach that goal, I'll decide if I want to lose more.Height: 5'0"Weight for WLS consultation: 216 lbs.Surgery date: 2/13/17Goal: -71 lbs for healthy BMI (about 145 lbs).Current weight: 185.2My profile picture is not me. It's my "FITspiration" body. 1 MsShortyDee reacted to this
