First, thanks for taking the time to read this...I am 9 days post op (sleeve)...How long was it before you started working out? I just walk for now 2 miles a day but I feel I can do more (like trying to run)What kind of workouts did you first try?

I am one month since surgery and only allowed cardio now. There is a higher risk of getting a hernia still so soon out. Hoping to get clearance at week 6 for weights.

You should ask your doctor what is best for you.

I was cleared to do cardio at my 2-3 week follow up appointment. I was cleared to do everything else including core exercises and Bootcamp at 6 weeks.

I wasn't allowed to do more than walking till week 12. This is a question for your surgeon. My timeline was based on what I had done. And it's amazing how accurate they were! I because of all I had done I wasn't even walking upright till week 5. lol! At week 6 I reinjured myself and could barely even walk at ALL. By week 8 I was not sleeping quite so long and felt my energy return. By week 12 I was ready to rock!

I was walking most days from when I came out of hospital and at the gym by 2 weeks.
Light weights followed with free squats etc
I did what ever I was comfortable. I was told no heavy weights before 6 weeks.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
