sleevingbeauty321 7 Posted March 8, 2017 Has anybody gotten a hernia after surgery due to too much strain? If so, how does it feel and what are the symptoms? My surgery was on 1/30 and I haven't done any core exercises yet but lately I haven't been sticking to the 20lb lifting restriction like I should. I was told to continue the lifting restriction until the end of this month. However, I got really sick of always asking others to help me with moving things or picking things up etc, so I just started doing it myself. Now, this past week I've started feeling this pain in my abdominal area. It's not severe pain but it is uncomfortable and not something I've felt before. Should I be worried? Berry78 4,261 Posted March 8, 2017 Hernias can be anywhere from really painful to zero pain. The only way to know for sure is to be checked out. Most likely you have just strained something, so don't panic. If you develop screaming, debilitating pain... 10 out if 10.. go to the ER. 1 sleevingbeauty321 reacted to this
