afriendnwv 53 Posted March 6, 2017 (edited) What is the ideal carb intake for a day? Edited March 6, 2017 by afriendnwv
mylighthouse 782 Posted March 6, 2017 I think it differs from person to person. My nutritionist told me to go with 50 carbs a day, but when I was going that high, I couldn't lose any weight. I brought it down to under 40 grams a day and I started dropping pounds. 1 afriendnwv reacted to this
triplethreat 257 Posted March 6, 2017 I could have written Mylighthouse's post. My NUT says 50 but my body says 40. I hit a very long plateau (five weeks) and weighed today, down 2 lbs. I was VERY strict about carbs (35-40; too few isn't good either) and upped my Protein. That seemed to work. Finally. 2 greatgrannyaj and afriendnwv reacted to this
Andrea F 48 Posted March 6, 2017 We aren't allowed to go ketogenic eating. I wasn't given any indicator for how many calories or carbs I should be at. Only a Protein and hydration goal. Now that I'm almost four weeks out.. I'm under 100 carbs a day (increased now that I am on puree). Our program believes in balanced eating focusing on protein, veggies and starches last if there is room. Our meals should include 3 food groups (including grains). 4 shawnak911, Dashofpixiedust8, Airstream88 and 1 other reacted to this
Airstream88 361 Posted March 6, 2017 I only count Protein and fluids. My program allows 2 multigrain servings and 2 fruit servings daily (not in the same meal).

I wasn't given a amount either, but I am just curious.
