I totally agree! celebrities may have all the right to have their own opinion, even when they can be very stupid and ignorant.... but we certainly have all the right to hate their opinions! and boy, sometimes I can't be quick enough to change that channel and I have to hear some pretty stupid stuff.... sometimes I can't help but feel sorry for them....because they are so ignorant....all the money and fame in the world can't buy them some properly functioning brains........

But what about the celebrities that make a demonstration?

The singers and such that preach their beliefs at their concerts.

Or taking an award show to tell their speel?

Anyone see Sally Fields on the award show recently? if not, do go utube it, she makes a real dummy of herself.

I have family in Kuwait right now, and frankly I'm tired of everyone being against the war. I support our troops. Period. I don't give 2 rat turds what Sally Fields' take is on it. She got an award for a tv show, stick to that.

Oh I know! people pay to see them in concert to hear them sing not to hear their political views.....and they don't even take into consideration that not everybody there is going to have the same beliefs as they do.... therefore they just shove them down our throats whether we like it or not....hello! the people are the ones paying for them to be there, they need to shut up! Sally Fields made a fool of herself....

Exactly! If they lived in those countries there is no way in hell they will be expressing their stupid opinions....that's for sure and our country may not be perfect, but heck, it's still our country! and every 4 years we have a chance to elect our presidents, why bashing them? and bashing our government? It's still our government! fine say you don't agree, no problem, but nastly bashing it! inmoral in my opinion...... I was born in Cuba, I've lived (not by choice) and visited a few countries in Europe, Africa and the Middle East and I wouldn't trade our country and our government for nothing in the world! even if I don't agree 100% with everything they do, in my humble opinion, this is the BEST country in the world. And maybe that's actually they reason why they hate us in some countries abroad, not because our government, but because they are envious.... it's sad, but very possible....

I am very proud of this country, which I consider my country! I'd die for this country if I had to, my father was a WWII veteran, this country and it's government has given me more than I could ever dream of, and definitely much more than my country of origin provided....which was only pain to me and my family.... God bless America!

I don't think celebrities should be above criticism, especially when they use their status for photo ops with dispicable dictators or leaders of countries hostile to ours. Seeing pictures of Sean Penn or Danny Glover kissing up to a Chavez or Castro makes my blood boil. What gets to me the most is that the leader they are shaking hands with would never allow one of his own countrymen the freedom to do what these guys do.

Amen to that!!!!!!!!! SO true!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
