crownstillshining 3 Posted March 3, 2017 How long post op did you wait to introduce cooked greens (turnips, collards, kale, etc) and how did it go? I'm one month post op and at the solid introduction phase of my program. My program discourages most raw fruits and veggies for up to 6 mths, including lettuce, but encourages moist cooked veggies. I'm considering trying to introduce cooked greens to my diet, but I'm not sure. My nut is on maternity leave and her temp fill-in is not very helpful. Just wondering what other vsg-ers have experienced with cooked greens.
Nikita 0 Posted March 4, 2017 Each surgery is different and each person is different, I have my sleeve on 6/28/16 & I ate collards for Thanksgiving & Christmas and I was fine. So I'll say give your self 4-6 months. My doctor didn't tell me to eat fruit, so depressing (I love pineapples, kiwis & strawberries)
