bbbanded 70 Posted March 2, 2017 I am stuck. I would say not the good kindness stuck but there really is none. I'm two months away from being 6 years post op, time sure does fly. Anyway, I managed to work my way out of 140 lbs by 2 years time. I'm at the point now where I've put back on 80 lbs. I plateued and lost motivation. I've since filled my band completely, I've worked out regularly and I've eaten well. Obviously not consistently. I've been considering a revision of some sort but my thoughts are what happens if I end up in the place I'm in now again. I'm only 23, there's only so much stomach I can get rid of or portion out. I wanted to know if anyone had completely emptied their band and slowly filled it again as to simulate the beginning of the process all over again?
AnneElliot 79 Posted March 4, 2017 Don't consider a revision to the sleeve. Your right. You can't live a normal lif with 85% of your stomach gone. Try anything but don't do what I did.
#MagicWithinme 173 Posted March 5, 2017 I've had my band unfilled about 3 times. Because I didn't add anything for 2 years, (I was being so strict on myself) that every time I got up to 3ccs I couldn't eat, sip a little. I'd go back to dr to take what I had put in removed and wait another week. I was still having problems (things got swollen) that dr ended up removing everything from band. Id have to wait 6 weeks to start over. I did that 3 times. But hey I lost weight during that time! just remember small, bites, that's my biggest problem, sometimes I so hungry I forget, and I end up in bathroom, with my finger down my throat trying to make things come back up, or down. I know that's not ideal either but in that moment... 1 bbbanded reacted to this
