My surgery was 3/2-came home today! It feels so good to be back in my comfortable chair!!

I am, however, confused about my intake, but I suppose I will get the hang of it!!

How is everyone doing?
I'm in the hospital still, they said 2 days.
Ready to go back to my family.
So far I've been able to hold down Water Soup and Jello.< br>I had my leak test this morning and everything looked great.

Once I leave here I know it's sip sip sip all day long,
Pain level is up and down still and still no bowel movement sorry for tmi
But I'm scared to go, feels like my stomach will fall out.

Everything happens for a reason...

I had my sleeve 3/2 and came home yesterday, around noon!

My procedure was uneventful and I had 0 pain afterwards! They kept me pretty medicated I guess.

Today, however, I find there is a little discomfort, as the hosp meds from yesterday wear off. Tylenol helped, but I do have Something stronger that was prescribed if I need it!!

so far so good!! Just doing lots of sipping!

Thank you! They really stressed that in the hospital!

I have scoliosis, so my walking is in sports as I need my cane. I try to get up every hour and take a lap around my house, as it's too cold to go outside yet!!

I haven't had a bowel movement yet either, and I've only passed gas once. I'm still sleeping the majority of the day away. Even sipping causes me discomfort

I had my surgery on the 2nd also. Lots of swelling and bruising around my belly button. Sipping is pretty uncomfortable but trying to when I am not sleeping. No bowel movements either. Burping on and off but not much more. Best of luck and speedy recovery to all.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
