shadowmountain 17 Posted March 1, 2017 I have done great all day, and was looking forward to some chicken broth tonight. The chicken broth on my list must be 140 mg or less of sodium per serving. I found some Campbell's on-line. IT TASTES LIKE DIRTY FEET! And it smells even worse. I tried dumping some pepper in it - didn't help - ugh..... 1 GoddessBeauty reacted to this

shadowmountain 17 Posted March 1, 2017 Yes - really! It was awful..... I can't even imagine 30 days of this. Now I know why it was so hard to find - I would imagine its not a hot seller.

Amy Sty 11 Posted March 3, 2017 Oh I hear you!! Too me it smells like wet dog. I tried pepper and parsley. No better. I didn't drink any broth during my pre-diet. 1 shadowmountain reacted to this
queendeborahbee 119 Posted March 5, 2017 I'm confused, 30 days pre-op liquid diet, I was told two weeks.
shadowmountain 17 Posted March 5, 2017 Yes, it seems most people are 2 week pre-op diet. My surgeon is very strict (30 days).
pretty.ruby 35 Posted March 5, 2017 I personally like Swanson's low sodium chicken stock on a box. It tastes pretty good. I take unflavored Gelatin and add it to make it a little thicker than Water. It also boosts the Protein.< br>
shadowmountain 17 Posted March 5, 2017 My broth has to have less than 140mg of sodium per serving. Very hard to find. I finally found Trader Joe's Organic chicken broth that is decent. All the low sodium broth at the grocery stores have about 600+ grams of sodium 1 pretty.ruby reacted to this

PatientEleventyBillion 851 Posted March 5, 2017 Yep, and depending on if you're really fat restricted a normal can of chicken noodle Soup might be fine. I'll only have one a day and Water it down quite a lot so as not to go crazy on fat.
