I had gastric bypass on Feb 7th. I have lost 14 pounds & stalled. From what I have read on these blogs that is absolutely normal !!!
But it still doesn't feel good not seeing the scale move so all I can say is hang in there. I am trying to.

perfectly normal. your body will lose weight and then stall while it adjusts itself to the new level you are on. this will happen over and over during your journey. just do what you need to do and allow nature to take care of itself. best of luck

Nothing is wrong, everyone goes through a stall. Trust the process. Follow the plan and keep chugging through. You may have a few stalls over the 1st year in fact. Just have faith and hang on. When I had surgery 2 yrs ago I stalled and then lost weight so fast than I had to be told to take my skinner self to go buy some new jeans....

Two things.
One this happens, it can be a bumpy road down. Are you getting in enough fluids and following thou meal plan? Walking/moving as much as thou can? If so, then you aren't doing anything wrong. You are in fact fooling the right things! Remind yourself of that and keep moving forward.
Second thing - are you a female and if yes, where are you in your cycle? That can really affect weight loss! Just monitor it.
Good luck and stay excited!

I'm going through something similar. I had my sleeve done on Feb. 9th, lost 11 pounds in the first 10 days, and haven't lost any in the past 10 days. I hit my Water intake, Protein, and calorie goal every day. Like others have said, stalls are normal, and I know that, but as you and others have mentioned, it's frustrating not to see the scale move. That said, mine appeared to be wavering this morning, so maybe I'll see some progress soon.

My surgery was Feb 1st and I'm stalled as well since last week. It's normal; I'm just hanging in there figuring the scale will start moving again in a few days. I'm tracking everything so I know it's not because I'm eating too much. :)

We'll get there!

I am having the same problem. I had gastric bypass on Jan 5th, lost 26 pounds in the first 3-4 weeks, and have only lost 2 or 3 pounds since! This stall has been very frustrating, but I keep reminding myself that this is normal and the body needs time to catch up. As long as we do what we can to hit our Vitamin, Protein, Fluid and exercise goals, the only thing we can do is wait! :)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
