SassyScienceNerd 213 Posted February 28, 2017 I have always wanted to do yoga, but when I have, I was pretty limited by my size. I'm very excited to make this my first post-op workout routine. I'd start gently, but how soon after surgery did everyone start exercising beyond just walking?
shayla805 9 Posted February 28, 2017 I remember it took some time before weights were allowed but yoga shouldn't be too long? I'd ask your doctorSent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App
GrrlAnn 177 Posted February 28, 2017 Right after surgery I was only allowed to walk. After my 2-3 week follow up appointment, I was allowed to do everything but core exercises. Now a 6 weeks I can do anything and today was my first day back at Bootcamp and it felt SO good!!Since yoga is heavy on core, I'd probably wait 6 weeks to start that routine. 1 SassyScienceNerd reacted to this
Marry Sweet 0 Posted November 26, 2020 (edited) Hi there, sorry for the later reply, but can you tell me your impression of yoga. My friend cannot imagine her life without yoga. You know recently was her birthday and I didn't know what present to prepare for her. My husband came with the idea to buy something for yoga hehe. So I googled and found a site about the best yoga blocks and why we should use them. I was really impressed by the information that I read and about the benefits of yoga. So I ordered blocks not only for my friend but for me too. What is your opinion on this? Edited November 26, 2020 by Marry Sweet
