determined1LD 19 Posted February 27, 2017 I was diagnosed with having binge disorder. Its so hard for me to lose the weight and stop the binges. Any advise? Im looking for a counselor who specialize in this but even that's difficult. I so badly want and need this surgery. I know it would be a tool in the weight loss process but right now I feel like I have no control help I told the therapist that is on my team we spoke about it I need an outside person to talk to.Determined1LD 1 gjb2017 reacted to this
AGreenEyedWolf 97 Posted February 27, 2017 I was also diagnosed with B. E. D. - I am not a therapist, but I'd be happy to be a friend :-) 1 determined1LD reacted to this
AnneElliot 79 Posted February 28, 2017 I strongly recommend more counseling before you consider this surgery. I was diagnosed with body dysmorphia post op. Its something I wish I addressed a long time. But I didon't realize how bad it was. 1 PatientEleventyBillion reacted to this
triplethreat 257 Posted February 28, 2017 If you pursue therapy, you might have good results with a CBT (cognitive behavioral therapist). CBT is showing promise in treating addictive behaviors. Here's some general information - I like that they address dysfunctional thinking as well dysfunctional behavior.
