Proud2BMe 1,016 Posted February 27, 2017 (edited) More than likely you are incorrect. So many people claim to not have restriction and that they can eat entire steaks and what not, that it can be quite laughable. If you are absolutely sure that you have no restriction then try eating an entire large pizza and keep it down. See if you throw up. Before my surgery I could eat an entire large pizza, bread sticks, salad, and desert. Now, I can only eat one slice and often I only eat the toppings as the crust can be so filling. There is a very small chance that your surgery was not done correctly. You will have to go to your doctor so they can actually check to see if this is the case or not. The surgery involves the removing of about 80% of your stomach so it would be hard for this to be accomplished yet exhibit no restriction. Airstream88 361 Posted February 27, 2017 Do you eat your Protein first? Are you eating real Protein like chicken, shrimp, tuna, steak, pork, eggs, etc? Are you following the 30-30 rule? liquid shakes and things like crackers and bread do not make you feel full.
dmelch 30 Posted February 27, 2017 I always do my Protein first. I have a Protein shake in the morning. lunch I have 1 oz. of low fat cheese, 1 oz nuts and cranberries for lunch I have a Protein ball at 3:00 that I make. dinner ground turkey 1 oz. I am still unable to eat, eggs, chicken, tuna, steak. What is the 30-30 rule? I have not had any bread since my operation.

The 30-30 rule is that you should stop drinking 30 minutes prior to eating, don't drink while eating and don't drink again until 30 minutes after. The 30 minutes after is so you don't flush the food out of your stomach and end up hungry right away. I guess everyone is different. I had my surgery about the same time as you and I am able to eat about 3 oz of most Proteins as long as they are moist. chicken was difficult at first but I found if I dipped it in salsa, hummus, or guacamole I could tolerate it better. My NUT has us eating 5 mini-meals a day - every 3 to 4 hours. I'm eating about 90 grams of protein daily now.
