March sleeves buddy Wanted and Needed

Recommended Posts

I'll be your buddy! I'm booked for 20th March. I've not had an appointment to see the Dietitian yet, so haven't been given the pre-op diet yet! I'm in the UK.
The nearer I get to my date, the slower the days are going!

I've had my surgery 20th feb and in U.K.
Looking for a U.K. Buddy

I was sleeved on the 15th. Besides the pain and severe regret the first day.. everything is good now. I started foods and it feels good. No reflux, no nausea at all so far but I'm not holding my breath.

Sent from my LG-M210 using BariatricPal mobile app

@Love Chops what foods are you eating now? I'm so ready to eat real foods but healthy of course. I'm sick of Protein Shakes although they will always still be a part of my life unfortunately! lol [emoji23]

Hi Jahni, I was sleeved on March 22 @ 200 lbs, I
have only lost 10 lbs. I would love to have you as a buddy and do this together. My goal weight is 145lbs. I have yet to incorporate any form of exercise yet, which could be the reason for not losing.

Hello, I was sleeved 4/18/17. The first day, regret was on my mind because of the severe pain, but after a day it minimized and I'm starting to feel a lot better.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
