Deactivatedfatgal 377 Posted February 26, 2017 Hi! New here, I am set to have my sleeve March 13th and feel nervous and keep finding myself going back and forth. I have contemplated this surgery for five years. I am super petite and have remained stagnant at 215-225pds. I am not taking but a week off from work as I don't do do lifting or anything major like that. I would love to hear from others going through the process. Any fellow East coasters here? 1 pwrtp reacted to this
MissKay 329 Posted March 3, 2017 I've been through the process already! I was sleeved in June, and I'm 26 years old. I wish I had known about the sleeve sooner. I had written of bypass or lap-band because of the horror stories I had heard. When I learned about the sleeve in October 2015, I did so much research and then took it to my doctor in December 2015, and June I had it done. You will definitely be nervous and even second-guess yourself. I did even as I laid in the hospital bed waiting to be rolled into surgery. They had to give me a light sedative to calm me down because I was on the edge of a panic/anxiety attack. I even felt a bit of remorse off and on for the first 4 weeks post-op cause I felt like poop from low energy. Now I'm almost 9 months post-op, and nearly 100lbs down from the day of surgery, and I only regret not doing it sooner. 2 ProudGrammy and Deactivatedfatgal reacted to this

Working at a desk I'm hoping I can pull this off but I will let you know. Now that I'm on the other side of the surgery I think I'm going to be able to. I also had fears when I was laying in the bed before surgery and wanted to get up and walk out but I stuck it out and it was not nearly as bad as I thought. Have a long road ahead of me but the scariest part is behind me. You can do, it just keep your mind on the long-term goal 1 Deactivatedfatgal reacted to this
Deactivatedfatgal 377 Posted March 14, 2017 Yes! I felt like getting up and walking out also but stayed. I'm not one day post op and it was nearly as bad as I thought.
